Over the weekend I ported my [NextJS](https://curiouslychase.com/tools/nextjs/) blog to  [Astro](https://curiouslychase.com/posts/astro-javascript/) and so far I'm happy with it.

# Why I Switched

I found I had to write a lot of custom implementations for fetching and rendering my [Markdown](https://curiouslychase.com/posts/markdown/) (written in [Obsidian](https://curiouslychase.com/tools/obsidian/)) content in [NextJS](https://curiouslychase.com/tools/nextjs/).
