**Bus Factor** is a term that I learned in the tech industry.

**Bus Factor** means "the risk of a system being irrecoverable or unknowable due an individual 'getting hit by a bus'.

It's primarily used as a way to determine if enough information has been shared about a system that the person who is primarily responsible is unavailable.
