When I worked at Zappos, I learned about workspace ergonomics because we were transitioning to a new office and employee comfort was a goal of making that move successful. I bought this chair in 2015, so I'm going on 5 years sitting in it. When I was at Walmart, I easily put 40, sometimes 60 hours, a week in this chair and I can say with confidence that if I did it again, knowing what I know now, I'd still be sitting in this chair.
This is the number one question I've gotten this question from people looking for chairs. Personally, I've sat in the Herman Miller Aeron (the $1400+ sibling) for an extended period of time and I found that they feel pretty similar for long periods of time. It wasn't worth double the spend and there's no way I wanted to be sitting for longer than 6 hours.
